Flow cytometry gate strategy for MDSCs in healthy individuals and patients infected with Schistosoma japonicum. CD45+ and live cells are gated from PBMCs through CD45-PE and live/dead dyes-BV510. Next, CD11b+HLA-DR-/low cells are gated through CD11b-Alexa Fluor 488 and HLA-DR-APC. Finally, through CD14-BV605 and CD15-PerCP 5.5, CD11b+HLA-DR-/lowCD14+ M-MDSC and CD11b+HLA-DR-/lowCD15+ G-MDSCs are gated, respectively. The first row shows the distribution of G-MDSCs and M-MDSCs in the peripheral blood of healthy individuals, while the second row shows the distribution of G-MDSCs and M-MDSCs in the peripheral blood of patients infected with Schistosoma japonicum.
