Numbers of samples at different steps of their treatment are presented, in particular results from the detection of Entamoeba gingivalis by PCR (“Eg+” stands for positive results; “Eg−”, for negative results), the presence or absence of inhibitors (“Inh−” and “Inh+”, respectively), and degradation or not of DNA (“Deg+” and “Deg−”, respectively).
