Cette puce, récoltée sur Procavia capensis, est le seul Ctenocephalides, avec C. arabicus dont il se sépare aisément, à montrer cinq soies spiniformes plantaires sur tous les tarses, dans les deux sexes.
Abstract
Except for Ctenocephalides arabicus, from which it is easily separated, this new species is the only member of the genus with five ventral, subapical, spiniform plantar bristles on all the fifth tarsal segments in both sexes.
