Cette espèce fait partie du groupe (et du sous-groupe) longicornis. Ses caractères originaux sont, essentiellement, la taille, la chétotaxie, les segments génitaux et les genitalia dans les deux sexes. Il s’agit, peut-être, de la première puce inféodée aux Diomedeidae.
Abstract
This species is related to longicornis group (and sub-group). The original features are, essentially, body size, chaetotaxy, genitalic segments and genitalia in both sexes. This is, perhaps, the first true flea on Diomedeidae.
