Abstract
Rhynchobothrium pronosomum Stossich, 1901 has been found for the first time since the original description in the intestine of Dasyatis pastinaca (L., 1758) caught in the Bay of Boka Kotorska, Montenegro, Adriatic Sea. A study of the scolex morphology, tentacles armature and anatomy allowed to define a new genus, Kotorella n. g. This genus is proposed as the type of the Kotorellidae n. fam.
