The role of spores and crystals of Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner in the infection of Laspeyresia pomonella L. (Tortricidae)
Abstract
Susceptibility of Laspeyresia pomonella to the crystal toxin of Bacillus thuringiensis is demonstrated by forced and free ingestion of purified preparations. The effect of spores alone is weak and cannot be expressed by a relationship between dose and mortality. Crystals and spores exhibit better activity when they are associated.
