Abstract
The larval development of Diplotriaena tridens takes 20 days in Locusta migratoria. At the beginning of the first stage, the mesenchyma arises from the initial cell R1 In the infective form, the hypertrophied oesophagus is similar to that of the two other Diplotriaeninae of which life-cycles are known ; the well cuticularized buccal frame reminds that of Serratospiculum tendo (Dicheilonematinae).
