Abstract
The perfect state of Sporotrichum schenckii (Hetkoen and Perkins 1900) was discovered. The asci are 4 spored. Those asci are formed directly upon the mycelium and no fructifications are ever developed. The name of Dolichoascus schenckii Thibaut and Ansel 1970 is proposed for this perfect state, which proved to be a representative of a new genus of the Endomycetaceae.
