Position systématique nouvelle de Micropballus dicœcus et de M. indicus sensu Mukherjee et Ghosh, 1967

Les deux espèces reétudiées sont synonymes et représentent un nouveau genre de Microphalliné, Bengaliniella, défini par un atrium génital complexe diverticulé évoquant celui des Levinseniella Stiles et Hassal, 1901 ; il présente de l’analogie avec l’énig matique genre Mehraformis Bhardwaj, 1963. Le générotype est Bengaliniella dicoecus (Mukherjee et Ghosh, 1967) nov. comb.
Abstract
The two species studied are considered as synonymous. A new microphallid genus is proposed : Bengaliniella caracterised by a complex genital atrium with diverticula, such as that of the genus Levinseniella Stiles and Hassal, 1901. It presents some other anatomical similarities with the enigmatic genus Meliraformis Bhardwaj, 1963.
The generotype is Bengaliniella dicoecus (Mukherjee and Ghosh, 1967) nov. comb.
