Maximum likelihood tree obtained from partial 28S rDNA sequences (D1 and D2 domains) based on the HKY85 model after rooting on Phlebotomus fertei. The tree with the highest log likelihood (−980.66) is shown. The percentage of trees in which the associated taxa clustered together is shown next to the branches. The tree is drawn to scale, with branch lengths measured in the number of substitutions per site. The analysis involved 126 nucleotide sequences.
