Trypanosoma cruzi trypomastigote and Vero cell survival after treatment with five different doses of astaxanthin (ASTX, 1, 5, 10, 20, or 30 μg/100 μL). Nifurtimox (NFMX, 400 μg/100 μL), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO, 0.03%), or no treatment was used as control for the MTS viability assay. Samples were evaluated after 24 h of treatment.
