Principal Coordinate Analysis (PCA) of the swordfish specimens (Xiphias gladius) based on the distribution and infection levels of Anisakis spp. larvae identified by genetic markers shows how the first two axes account for about 57% and 39% of total ordination, respectively. Squares identify the Mediterranean samples, whilst circles and diamonds identify the Atlantic ones, where these latter identify the northernmost areas of the Atlantic Ocean waters.
