Opisthovarium elongatum, Trématode d’Oiseaux marins de la mer des Caraïbes a été retrouvé en Méditerranée chez le Goéland à pieds jaunes, Larus argentatus michaellis. Le deuxième hôte intermédiaire de ce parasite a été découvert chez un Poisson Scombresocidé Belone belone. La métacercaire est décrite. Quelques considérations sur le cycle sont proposées.
Abstract
Opisthovarium elongatum, caribbean marine birds trematode has been found in the Mediterranean region in the Herring gull Larus argentatus michaellis. The second intermediate host of this parasite has been discovered in a scombresocid fish Belone belone. The description of the metacercaria is presented. Some considerations about the life cycle are proposed.
